Civil Engineer Projects for the Coexistence and the Reconciliation

Within the framework of the Project “Coexistence and Reconciliation: A Model of Social Management” financed by the European Union, the High Presidential Counselor’s Office for Reintegration and the Acción Ciudadana, Colombia Corporation, -AC Colombia in 2009 as a byproduct of a process of compromise, public deliberation, citizens’ participation and social control the building of five community centers took place. They were built in Riohacha, Guajira; Puerto Boyacá, Boyacá; and Granada, San Martín and Puerto Gaitán in Meta which included the committed work of receptor, displaced and reintegrated populations of such cities.

Currently, these community centers have benefitted around 4338 families as follows:
Granada – 1491 familias
San Martín – 706 familias
Puerto Gaitán – 540 familias
Riohacha – 986 familias
Puerto Boyacá – 615 familias
|
AC-Colombia played the leadership role in the design, execution and the community building of such engineering projects which add up to 2112 square meters with the support of the respective city governments.
